Meet Our Found(her)

Na’Keya Haslett, affectionately known as Key, is the visionary founder of Girl Chat Bible Talk (GCBT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a sacred and empowering space for women of faith. Key is an ordained minister with a dynamic gift who loves to preach and teach God’s Word while creating spaces where people can encounter His love and truth. With 15 years of ministry and leadership experience, she is known for her clarity, compassion, and conviction, paired with a joyful spirit that makes the Word of God relatable and alive. Her deep passion for God’s people addresses the unique needs of Black women seeking authentic conversations and spiritual growth that may not be accepted in traditonal settings.

Key’s proudest role is being a mother to her beloved son, Malaki. She named him after the prophet, Malachi, because she knew he was a messenge from God. She contributes much of her own relationship with God to her journey of raising him. As a young single mother who once felt as though all was lost, Key first learned to hear and trust the voice of God for herself. Through motherhood, she discovered her strength, her calling, and her anchor in Christ.

Key takes care of business, but more often than not she is cracking jokes and entertaining those around her. She describes herself as mildish, both mature and childish, possessing grown woman energy with a giggle. She loves deeply and embodies Proverbs 17:22 by living with a joyful heart because laughter is good medicine. Guided by prayer and vision, Key lives by her motto: “God’s will, God’s way. And if it’s not God’s will, I’m in God’s way.” This same heartbeat shapes GCBT into a transformative movement where women can explore God’s Word, share authentic conversations, and grow together in faith.

History & Milestones

Girl Chat Bible Talk (GCBT) was birthed out of a simple but powerful truth that underserved women of faith deserve a safe space to be seen, heard, and poured into. GCBT creates room for the real conversations that are often left unspoken in traditional church settings. GCBT is shaped for us, by us into a sacred haven where women can connect deeply, grow in faith, and walk boldly in God’s Word together.

March 20, 2023

Monday Madness, a weekly Zoom Zoom meet-up where women of faith gather for real talk, fresh perspective, and sisterhood all rooted in God’s Word and guided by Biblical truth.

February 2024

We came together for GCBT’s very first in-person gathering: the Prayer Vision Board Party. A powerful event where faith met vision, and women boldly mapped out the future God has for them.

June 2024

GCBT officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, opening doors for greater impact, community partnerships, and resources to better serve women of faith.

March 2025

GCBT turned 2! We marked the occasion with a sold-out anniversary celebration where 51 women gathered in sisterhood, faith, and joy. Proof that what God started continues to grow.

Girl Chat Bible Talk (GCBT) began in March 2023 when a simple Zoom call turned into a movement. What started as “Monday Madness” quickly became a sacred safe space where women could laugh, heal, and grow together in God’s Word. From small gatherings to nonprofit status, mental health workshops, and community events, GCBT continues to expand its impact. And our story is still being written as we remain committed to growing in God, experiencing His love, and sharing that love with our community.
